Storytellerus
- FIRST BASIC: Clerical Error
By expending a blood trait, you can make your opponent's character
sheet be slightly off kilter. For the duration of the scene, your
victim is down one Physical, Social or Mental Trait (your choice).
-
SECOND BASIC: Rules Call
With a mental challenge, the purveyor of Storytellerus can alter
slightly the house interpretation of any rule. For example, Susie's
game says that Aura Perception can not be used as a spontaneous lie
detector test, but requires one minute of concentration. Susie uses
her Rules Call ability, succeeds in her static mental challenge, and
cna now spontanenously know if Bobby Brujah is full of crap. If you
carry copies of house rules from other games, each one can be used as a
retest.
-
FIRST INTERMEDIATE: The Unlearning
Functionally similar to the Basic power of Clerical Error, The
Unlearning instead effects your opponent's Disciplines. Expend a
mental trait, and make a Mental Challenge against your oppponent. Win,
and remove one level of Discipline from their in-clans, or two from an
Out of Clan Discipline. This effect lasts for the duration of the
evening, or until cancelled by another Storytellerus effect.
-
SECOND INTERMEDIATE: Spontaneous Mentor
This power, while not always as immediately gratifying as the others,
has great consequences. Expend up to 5 mental traits, and throw a
Simple Mental Static. On a win, you now have a mentor of a value equal
to the number of mental traits spent. Expend a temporary willpower to
choose which clan this mentor is from. On a tie, the mentor's value is
half of the traits you expended, rounded up.
-
ADVANCED: RetCon
This power is quite powerful in the hands of the creative. Expend a
permanent willpower and bid one trait (Social or Mental for most,
Physical traits vs. Brujah) against everyone participating in the scene
with you. If you defeat more than half of the assembled players in
this challenge (retest with Subterfuge, Stealth, or Whinesalot), you
can retcon the scene you are presently in, back as far as the beginning
of gameplay that evening.
